🎉 Huge Congratulations to Sophia Paradela Palma! 🎉

Sophia Paradela Palma, MSc in Public Health at the University of Debrecen, has made waves on the international stage!

Together with her teammates Mahnoor Riaz and Jomana Ben Khadra, Sophia’s team, IsotopeX, took 3rd place at the World Final in Moscow after a stunning win in Hungary at the Hackatom International Nuclear Medicine Competition.

Their groundbreaking project introduced a novel nuclear energy source with potential applications in space exploration—an achievement that truly sets them apart.

Recognizing their talent and dedication, Rector Zoltán Szilvássy awarded the team a two-year research scholarship, providing an incredible opportunity to contribute to advanced research at the Department of Nuclear Medicine.
