Welcoming the Future: AFSHu's 2024-2025 Board of Directors Take Their Oath
On January 25, 2025, the Association of Filipino Students in Hungary (AFSHu) proudly held its Oath-Taking Ceremony for the newly elected Board of Directors for the academic year 2024-2025. The event, which also served as a Post-Holiday Celebration, took place at Campus Bistro in Gödöllő, a Filipino restaurant owned by Chef Anna. The ceremony began with the formal oath-taking, administered by Chargé d'Affaires, a.i. Roderico C. Atienza of the Philippine Embassy in Hungary, officially ushering in a new era of leadership dedicated to serving the Filipino student community.
Following the ceremony, attendees enjoyed a buffet lunch featuring Filipino cuisine, bringing a sense of home to the gathering. The celebration continued well into the day, with everyone coming together for lively conversations and rounds of karaoke—an essential part of any Filipino get-together. The event reaffirmed AFSHu's commitment to fostering unity, representation, and empowerment, as the newly elected officers embraced their shared vision of strengthening camaraderie, celebrating Filipino heritage, and supporting fellow students in their academic and personal journeys abroad.
